When Covid caused shut downs of major processing plants, Lindsey and her husband Matt needed somewhere to process the pigs they raise. With other lockers full, they decided to open their own butcher shop in a remodeled barn. Opening February of 2020, the community response was very positive so they began taking steps to allow them to work with other local livestock producers to process their animals as well.

A heartbreaking fire in May of 2020 took out the entire building. While this was a devastating loss for the family, it gave them an opportunity to rebuild and be able to accommodate more of a variety of livestock so they could help even more local livestock producers.  After an incredibly long and tenuous rebuild with the help of friends, family, and neighbors, they were able to reopen their new building in October of 2023. Since their reopening, the team at Jungers Farms Butchery has been working hard to bring better quality, locally sourced meats and other products to Watertown and surrounding areas.

In 2024 the team was awarded the "Rookie Business of the Year" through the Watertown Chamber of Commerce. Their strive for excellence is seen in all they do. Every meat cut is vacuum sealed and labeled with the local farm it was sourced from, ensuring their clients never have to wonder where their meat is coming from.
